Registration/Picking up your badge
Registration will be open on Tuesday afternoon from 4-5:30 pm and on Wednesday morning beginning at 7:30 am. The Event Reception is on the Conference Level -2 and will be open until 5 pm every day. View here on the event map.
For Speakers Please add your presentation to your session by attaching a pdf file to your session (under Manage Session > + Add Presentation). All slides and recording of your sessions will then be published on the Linaro Resource Hub (if the video of your session cannot be published please let us know immediately by emailing connect@linaro.org).
Traditionally, multimedia features on Linux devices are built as monolithic applications that have full and exclusive access to the hardware resources they need (ex camera, codecs, …), preventing sharing and securing those resources in more complex use case scenarios.
PipeWire is a simple but powerful multimedia IPC framework that implements a lot of middleware multimedia functionality on modern Linux systems, including an audio server (replacing PulseAudio & JACK) and a camera & screencast capture server.
In this talk, George will shed some light into how PipeWire can be leveraged to implement secure multimedia pipelines, with multiple processing points in isolation from each other sharing the same resources, enabling any modern demanding use case to be implemented easily and safely.
